Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Shipping Associate is to assist with various maintenance, inventory, and administrative shipping tasks. Our ideal candidate is able to prioritize and multi-task, ability to drive a forklift and has great communication skills.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Data entry for administrative tasks relating to shipping
  • Maintain a safe work environment within the division for customers and staff
  • Prepares merchandise for shipment as required
  • Utilizes material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks etc.
  • Organize sticks and maintain inventory
  • Inspect products for defects and damages
  • Examine incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Picking/checking/packing shipping orders
  • Invoicing shipping/common carry orders
  • Providing freight/common carry quotes
  • Preparing pallets for common carry orders
  • Sending call tags for shipping returns
  • Handling damage claims
  • Other tasks as defined by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must possess good general computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
  • The ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Bilingual is a plus

Credentials and Experience:

  • No previous experience is necessary
  • Forklift certified (we can provide)

Physical Demands

  • Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
  • Required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb to perform work
  • May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
  • May be required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time
