What we are looking for
Optime Care is seeking a Training Specialist for our Earth City, MO location. We are looking for a training professional to develop and execute a training plan and support the design and/or modification of courses and curriculums to satisfy the training needs of our Care Coordinator and other groups in the organization. They will be responsible for all aspects of initial and ongoing training of products, clinical practices, and methodologies across multiple brands.  The Training Specialist should be familiar with all aspects of the training program and associated resources and materials, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Optime Care Policies and Procedures.

This position will be required to be in the office for the first 120 days for training purposes. After that, it can be a hybrid role with 3 days in-office required depending on business needs.

What the position will be doing

  • Develop training curriculum and materials for our Client Services teams.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of training material libraries.
  • Design and deliver thoughtful in-person, virtual, and on-demand learning experiences that are reflective of best practices in adult learning principles.
  • Perform scheduled follow-ups with new employees to monitor performance and training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with team directors to develop and execute new-hire training programs.
  • Collaborate and partner with internal, key corporate functions such as legal, marketing, finance, and others to ensure that all training materials are updated, and changes are communicated to care teams.
  • Schedule and conduct the classroom training for the technology Process Guide curriculum.
  • Update courses and training resources for the technology Process Guide.
  • Learn new processes and revise training resources for the technology Process Guide based on new program launches.
  • Work with Care Director and Quality to develop and/or revise program-specific OCMS documents based on operational changes.
  • Coordinate with members of IT to modify training accordingly for any new team processes.
  • Conduct ad hoc training sessions as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned, which may require additional time commitments.
Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities
  • High School diploma, or equivalent, required. College degree, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate/professional training experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, specialty pharmacy, and/or orphan diseases.
  • Experience creating and developing content for adult learning.
  • Prior experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are required.
  • Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and clients, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.
  • Ability to organize resources, personnel, and actions for successful completion of programs and tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
