Job Title: Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist

UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a highly skilled Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Sales department, you will be responsible for leading and executing the strategic planning, analysis, negotiation, and integration of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify acquisition targets and strategic partnerships aligned with long-term goals
  • Conduct market and industry research to assess opportunities
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop an M&A strategy and roadmap
  • Perform financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential deals
  • Lead the due diligence process, assessing financial, operational, legal, and regulatory aspects
  • Evaluate risks and benefits associated with deals, providing recommendations to management
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and other key teams to structure and negotiate deal terms, ensuring they align with corporate objectives
  • Draft term sheets, letters of intent (LOIs), and other documentation
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, including investment bankers and lawyers
  • Develop and execute integration plans for smooth transitions of acquired businesses or assets
  • Collaborate with operations, HR, IT, and finance for effective post-merger integration
  • Monitor the performance of acquired assets to ensure synergy targets are met
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential targets and stakeholders
  • Represent the company in negotiations, presentations, and discussions related to M&A opportunities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5 years or more experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, or corporate development
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end M&A processes, from sourcing to integration
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other financial tools
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of M&A preferred
  • Experience working with private equity or venture capital firms preferred
