Our Purchasing Manager will manage the purchasing department, negotiate with domestic and international suppliers, ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of purchases, and maintain inventory levels. You will play a critical role in leading the optimizing our procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This position requires strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and strategic sourcing capabilities to drive continuous improvement and deliver value to our organization.


This position is 100% on site in Kent, WA.


Supplier Management:

· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers in Asian markets, including China, India, Vietnam, Cambodia, etc.

· Negotiate contracts and terms of service.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.


Procurement Strategy:

· Develop and effectively manage purchasing goals in alignment with overall Company goals and monitor performance through a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

· Risk Mitigation: Understand the global supply chain and possible market conditions that can affect product availability, delivery and cost. Create sourcing strategies that include risk mitigation such as multi-sourcing and performance guarantees as needed.


Project Management:

· Lead cross-functional projects for new item/program rollouts, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

· Develop project plans, milestones, and deliverables, and effectively communicate progress to stakeholders.

· Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to execute sourcing initiatives and achieve project objectives.


Team Management:

· Lead and train the purchasing team.

· Delegate tasks and monitor performance.

· Reporting and Analysis.

· Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, costs, and performance metrics.

· Use data analysis to make informed purchasing decisions.


Forecasting Model Development:

· Develop and maintain forecasting models using statistical techniques and software tools.

· Analyze historical data, market trends, and demand drivers to identify patterns and correlations.

· Continuously refine and optimize forecasting algorithms to improve accuracy and reliability.


Cost Management:

· Analyze and manage costs to achieve budgetary objectives.

· Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.


Inventory Control:

· Oversee inventory levels to ensure sufficient supply while minimizing excess stock.

· Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage stock movements.


Continuous Improvement:

· Proactively identify opportunities to enhance our supply chain

· Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to streamline forecasting processes and enhance analytical capabilities.



Requirements:

Required Skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification in procurement, project management, or related disciplines (e.g., CPSM, PMP) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic international sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management roles, with demonstrated success in driving sourcing excellence and delivering measurable results.
