Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $17-$22 per hour

General Job Description
● Initiate, lead, and uphold policies, practices, and procedures of the company
● Maintain clean and safe work environment
● Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
● Follow safety policies and procedures for safe handling of propane and oxygen hand torches
● Prepare and cut up scrap metal to specific sizing using a hand torch
● Communicate with Yard or Field Foreman to determine work to be completed

● Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by manager, as needed

 

Duties and Job Responsibilities
● Appropriate drug/alcohol testing
● Excellent attendance (no tardiness or absences in the 90-day probationary period, unless approved by manager)
● Maintain safe and clean work environment
● Communicate any issues immediately Yard or Field Foreman
● Perform duties assigned by Yard or Field Foreman, as needed


Job Qualifications
● Communication skills
● Prior experience using propane and oxygen hand torches is preferred


Key Competencies
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment
● Ability to work outside in all environmental conditions
● Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed boots, touching leathers, and any other required equipment
● Ability to communicate effectively
● Ability to intermittently bend, crouch, reach, push and pull 50lbs, and lift 50 lbs from floor to waist.
● Ability to stand 8 hours per day while holding a hand torch
● Ability to execute job duties independently without constant supervision
● Ability to work overtime and be flexible with work schedule/hours, as needed
● Ability to show up to work on time and ready to work
