As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will support ATL’s Drilling Division by performing maintenance services and repairs on various drill rigs, carriers, trucks, and trailers.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Prior experience with heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment repair and maintenance
  • Valid NYS Driver License required, CDL preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in work assignments
  • Strong independent work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to use power and hand-held tools, and diagnostic equipment to repair, replace, and test equipment and vehicles
  • Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures
  • High regard for safety and hazard mitigation

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities include:

  • Perform predictive, preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance and inspections of diesel, gas, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel, gas, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
  • Effectively use diagnostic tools and data
  • Test equipment after repair to ensure proper operation and performance
  • Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists
  • Safely operate repair equipment including vehicle hoist, tire changer and balancer, torches, grinders, and various hand and power tools
  • Welding and light fabrication
