HACCP Coordinator

The food safety coordinator is responsible for administrating and analyzing all activities in support of regulatory compliance programs. This individual will also serve as the main contact for all outsource vendor approval communications and activities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all CCP documents for review and corrective actions.
- Responsible for tracking all failures and ensuring corrective actions are completed within 24 hours.
- Responsible for HACCP plan maintenance.
- Responsible for all flow charts.
- Responsible for all HACCP training to include quality techs and new supervisors.
- Accountable for oven, AI and lyco validations.
- Responsible for all sampling (USDA, shelf life and additional)
- Responsible for managing extensions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; in either Biology, Animal Science, Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry or another agriculture based major
- HACCP and/or PCQI certification is required
- 3+ years’ experience in QA, Food Safety, Sanitation, or Regulatory Compliance
- Technical Knowledge of the meat industry
- USDA or FDA experience highly preferred
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office software
- Visio experience
