The Project Manager will work closely with clients and the design teams to coordinate the completion of projects while ensuring quality standards, maintaining project schedules, and staying within project budgets

T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. T2ue helps clients manage the complexity of existing utilities with our professional and comprehensive Subsurface Utility Engineering, Utility Coordination, and Surveying services.

Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality utility information, professional insight, and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety, and set the standard for the utility engineering industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide overall management and direction for existing and new projects
  • Regularly interfaces with existing and potential clients to secure new assignments
  • Prepare work plans, assemble project team, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with the scope and timely completion of tasks
  • Review and approve calculations, specifications, and other submittals
  • Review invoices, prepare/review progress reports for clients, and manage client contracts
  • Initiates, prepares, reviews, and participates in proposals, rate & staff hour estimate preparation, and negotiations, including serving as a representative of T2 at client meetings
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance and safety plans for assigned projects, overseeing all QA/QC functions to ensure accurate and high-quality client deliverables
  • Participates in interviews and presentations
  • Interfaces with clients to obtain work and develops/maintains relationships with existing and new clients
  • Reports on client and competitor activities and initiates action accordingly, monitoring and evaluating competition activities
  • Prepares business activity and forecast reports, supporting local office or regional marketing efforts
  • Works with the proposal team to respond to requests for information, proposals, and/or quotations
  • Conduct utility coordination meetings, document meeting minutes, and maintain files on all activities for each utility agency
  • Performs follow-up of meeting action items to ensure effective coordination results
  • Communicate verbally and formally the status of coordination activities to keep the project team informed about utilities
  • Acts as liaison between designers, utility agencies and owners on behalf of clients


Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in civil engineering or construction management plus 1-5 years’ experience in civil engineering or 3-8 year’s experience in an engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of Conducting Utility Coordination for CDOT or other local agencies
  • Ability to effectively network to obtain strategic growth KPl's for new business and key clients
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure, strategic vision, organizational capability, and market intimacy
  • Must have strong written and oral communication, supervisory and mentoring, attention to details and accuracy, planning, decision making, problem solving
  • MicroStation, GEOPAK, CAiCE, AutoCAD / Civil 3D knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office and Database Management
  • Normal office environment with occasional field site visits for progress review and quality control or estimating new work and be able to travel out of town overnight for project assignments
