Position Summary:
The Supervisor manages daily kitchen/cafeteria operations and evaluates/trains/disciplines staff. Assures all patient, cafeteria, and catering meals are produced in a timely, cost effective, and flavorful manner, meeting all quality control standards. Assures all sanitation standards are met, current, and documented. Maintains department in survey ready mode at all times.
Qualifications:
Prefer Associate of Science degree in Food Service Management or equivalent work experience and other training related to food. Minimum five years direct supervision in food production. Prefer good working knowledge of therapeutic diets. Ability to resolve personnel issues with appropriate mediation skills and within hospital personnel policies and guidelines, acts as a leader and guides staff in constructive manner. Requires attention to detail in order to provide successful patient, catering and cafeteria food service. Knowledge of various food products and quality. Chemical use, HACCP, OSHA and safety.
Preferred Certified Dietary Manager and ServSafe® Certification.
