Mobile Crisis Specialist

Position Summary:
At CriSyS, we provide experienced, compassionate crisis intervention, with a focus on keeping individuals and their families safe within their community. Serving as a hospital and jail diversion program, we work with community partners to offer dynamic, comprehensive, and tailored care that focuses on each person’s health rather than the difficulty itself.
In the role of Mobile Crisis Specialist, you will provide immediate crisis support in the areas of mental health, substance use, Intellectual and Developmental Disability and situational crises. Our skilled clinicians are trained to de-escalate the situation, assist in establishing a safe and stable crisis plan, and provide necessary connections to community resources. Mobile Crisis Specialists aid in resource identification and navigation to support long term recovery.
You will work closely with first responders, community agencies, and stakeholders.
CriSyS operates 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This will be for 2nd shift which is 2pm-10pm and will be one of two shifts being Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a clinical evaluation assessing the client in a community-based setting assessing risk and environment.
- Effectively perform crisis intervention including de-escalation, crisis planning, and warm hand-offs to community service providers.
- Ability to maintain professional, calm, demeanor and objectivity in high-stress situations.
- Design appropriate referral recommendations using available community resources.
- Provide extended post-crisis follow-up support.
- Make decisions regarding the need for Involuntary Commitment and/or alternative psychiatric evaluation.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in alignment with governing and regulatory standards.
- Work with diverse populations including children, adults, dual-diagnosis, co-occurring, and individuals with an Intellectual and Developmental Disability.
- Community outreach and education.
- Abide by HIPAA and other regulations regarding health and personal information.
Our Team Members Have the Following Qualifications:
- Full or provisional licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LCAS etc.) Spanish speaking preferred.
- Master's or bachelor's degree in a human service field with 1 year of experience in mental health.
- Crisis Response experience is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to technology and utilize mobile technology through various platforms.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a company or personal motor vehicle.
