Davies Risk Services is looking for independent contractors in the Waco, TX area to perform insurance property inspections for our insurance carrier clients.  Insurance loss control experience is preferred but not required.  This is a great gig for retired insurance agents, current or retired Fire Fighters, those who have prior military service, or those with real estate or construction background. 

Our inspectors meet with the policyholder to photograph and survey the overall condition of the insured’s property, buildings, and/or premises, and provide specific information to the insurance companies underwriters.
  • Scheduling appointments with property owners
  • Photograph and evaluate the overall condition of the property
  • Effectively communicating via phone, email, and face to face discussions
  • Observe commercial and residential properties for potential areas of risk
  • Complete a brief report of your observations and upload photos to the field service platform 
  • Follow carrier instructions and maintain quality standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
  • Local travel to perform field inspections
Qualifications for the ideal Independent Contractor:
  • Car, Microsoft computer, smartphone, and reliable home internet
  • Observant and curious
  • Ability to take pictures and accurately measure square footage
  • Skills in time management and verbal/ written communications
  • Basic computer skills, typing, uploading, and downloading documents, email, Microsoft Outlook and Word, as well as using the internet.
  • Background in construction, firefighting & safety, real estate or previous military service is beneficial, but not required.
  • Successful candidate must live in the geographic area advertised
