Position Summary

The International Account Manager enhances customer relationships by managing operational activities, proactively resolving potential issues, and driving operational excellence. This individual will actively participate in weekly customer meetings and QBRs to ensure operational alignment with all parties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for managing daily operations and the customer experience for key international accounts

• Drive the successful outcome of key projects including: KPIs, customer service, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance, and customer interaction

• Help develop solutions that best address customer needs while remaining in constant communication with clients to ensure their needs are being met

• Effectively lead communication with stakeholders at all levels (i.e., operations staff through executive leadership)

• Extract and analyze data to establish actionable process improvements

• Maintain strong relationships with customer decision makers and end-users by presenting a consistent company image in order to build and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

• Develop SOPs, KPIs, and other measurements while onboarding new customers and ensure these metrics are met and regularly reported for existing customers

• Other administrative duties as assigned

Specific Department Responsibilities

• Maintain current understanding of applicable requirements and laws

• Demonstrate competency with Federal Maritime Commission regulations

• Become a CargoWise Certified Professional

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with a freight forwarder or ocean carrier

• Proven work history showing increasing levels of responsibility

• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is inside a central heat and air-conditioned office building. The noise level in the work environment is minimal.
