We are seeking a skilled Home Automation and A/V Technician to join our team and help us maintain and enhance our smart home systems, audio/visual installations, and network infrastructure across our properties.


Job Summary: The Home Automation and A/V Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting home automation systems, A/V equipment, networking infrastructure, and computer systems in our vacation rental properties and offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain home automation systems, including lighting control, HVAC, security systems, and smart home devices.
  • Install and set up A/V equipment, including televisions, sound systems, projectors, and home theater systems.
  • Set up and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and troubleshooting to ensure all systems and equipment are functioning optimally.
  • Provide computer repair and technical support for property managers and guests as needed.
  • Work closely with property managers and guests to address any technical issues and provide support as needed.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in home automation, A/V systems, and networking.
  • Train property managers and guests on the use of home automation, A/V systems, and network devices.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of new technology upgrades and improvements.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Home Automation and A/V Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of home automation systems, A/V equipment, and network infrastructure.
  • Proficient in network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting and computer repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various property environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.


Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g.CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
