The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products. This role involves coordinating with various departments, preparing shipping documents, and maintaining records of all outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure all shipments are accurately packed, labeled, and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with carriers and schedule shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Inspect shipments to ensure accuracy and condition of goods.
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status and any issues that arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues related to shipping delays or discrepancies.
  • Perform inventory management and stock checks as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
