Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our IT department. This entry-level role is designed for those who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to contribute to the protection of our company’s assets and data. You will be involved in various security-related audits, monitoring tasks, and initiatives aimed at maintaining and enhancing our security posture. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in information security, an analytical mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.

What that looks like day to day:

Security Monitoring and Auditing

  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans across our IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in monitoring security logs and alerts, identifying potential threats, and responding to incidents.
  • Support the execution of security audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Incident Response

  • Work with the security team to respond to security incidents, contributing to the analysis, containment, and remediation efforts.
  • Assist in the development and updating of incident response plans and playbooks.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security awareness and training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to improve the organization's security posture.

What you will have:

  • 0-2 years of experience in information security or a related field.
  • A foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What will set you apart:

  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker) are a bonus.
  • Experience with cloud services platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
