Plasman Lawrenceburg is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as:

Maintenance Multi-Craft Lead- 1st Shift

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    1. JOB TITLE DESCRIPTION:

    • The Maintenance Lead or designate will perform maintenance functions and assist fellow maintenance technicians as a team in the activities of the Maintenance DepartmentHan at Plasman.


    1. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

    • This position Directly reports to: Maintenance Manager


    1. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

    The responsibilities and authorities for this position include, but are certainly not limited to:


    • Proactively complete maintenance work to include electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and general repair and maintenance of all equipment to maintain quality and production levels
    • Responsible for troubleshooting of equipment and miscellaneous downtime issues
    • Perform preventative maintenance of equipment within manufacturers specifications
    • Strong Computer Skills ( Excel/ Word/ PP)
    • Strong PLC and Robotic knowledge/ experience

    Maintain the building by repairing as required

    • Fabricating or building items/building maintenance as requested
    • Robotic repairs and maintenance.
    • Maintain Maintenance software program(s) or equivalent repair log
    • Always promote an atmosphere of teamwork
    • Recommend and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Work in compliance with the Quality and Business Operating Systems and all health and safety and environmental legislation.
    • Completion of any other duties as assigned.


    1. HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for complying with the Company Health & Safety Program including Occupational Health & Safety Legislation, regulations, standards and Company Health & Safety policies. Reference: JDA-003 Worker/Supplied Labour Health & Safety Responsibilities (Addendum to worker Job Descriptions).

    1. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must possess a secondary school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed Maintenance diploma/certificate and/or hold a ticket in industrial maintenance/millwright.
    • Preference will be given to candidates who also hold a valid industrial electrician (442A), or industrial mechanic (Millwright Red Seal program) certification (as necessary for the required role), or must be in the position to challenge the 442 Electrical test (with hours and experience requirement).
    • Preference will be given to those candidates who have education in the areas of electrical, PLC, mechanical and hydraulics.

    1. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    This position requires the following minimum work experience qualifications:


    • Must have at least a minimum of two- four years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment, with preference given to those who have knowledge and experience in the areas of PLC (OMRON/AB, Robotic (Fanuc), electrical, mechanical and hydraulics.
    • Experience with paint application is considered an asset (TEC / TIL)
    • Must have the ability to be trained for the above-mentioned responsibilities and authorities
    • Acceptable performance record and attendance record required


    1. MINIMUM TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    This position requires the following proficient training:


    • WHMIS/MSDS
    • Lock-out/Tag-out
    • Crane Training
    • Lift Truck Training
    • PLC/Electrical/Robotics (as required)
    • Spill Training
    • Health & Safety Training
    • PLASMAN Quality / Environmental Policy awareness
    • Bear tracker & Fluke
    • New Employee Orientation (when required)


    1. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    This position requires the following minimum training:


    8.1 Abide by Company Value Statement and the Company Standard Code of Conduct

    8.2 Ability to perform well in high pressure situations

    8.3 Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills both written and verbal

    8.4 Ability to prioritize and adjust work based on requirement

    8.5 Meets expectation rating for relevant competencies.

    8.6 Access to reliable transportation

    8.7 Rotate shifts as required to support maintenance team and business maintenance requirements

    • Acceptable Performance Management Process core competency performance rating.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a technical/college degree or certification in the field of Maintenance ; Electrical Engineering; HVAC ; Injection Molding ; PLC ; Robotics

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2-4 years direct experience in a Maintenance field
  • Must have good communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Proven to be a leader in the areas of quality, productivity and teambuilding
  • Automotive ; Injection Molding
  • System experience encouraged: Bear Tracker / Fluke / QAD/ MLS / Freedom
