Job Description

Summary/objective

Provide bag, golf cart, and range services to members and guests.

Essential functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

• Brings golf carts from cart shelter to cart staging area outside Golf Pro Shop; checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation, and other safety considerations.
• Loads bags from bag storage room or member/guest vehicles onto golf carts.
• Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers.
• Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
• Operates tractor and ball picker on range to retrieve balls.
• Washes all range balls daily.
• Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.
• Returns golf carts to cart shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc. from golf carts and saves reusable items; checks carts for damage; washes golf cart with pressure cleaner; parks cart in the shelter and connects charger cable.
• Advises Pro Shop of clubs/belongings found on the range and adds to lost and found.
• Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club's rental equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in bag storage room.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.

Competencies

• Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in an emergency.

Work environment

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Frequently exposed to fumes or air born particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat.

Physical demands

• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions.
• Continuous standing and walking.

Required education and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid drivers' license.

Preferred education and experience (not required, but a plus)

• Prior relevant experience.
