Position Responsibilities:
- Providing care in the pre-operative, post-operative, and post-anesthesia care areas.
- Admit and prepare the patient for surgery.
- Provide ongoing information to the patient and their caregiver to ensure that they understand and feel as comfortable as possible.
- Receives patient in the recovery room after surgery. Assesses and evaluates the patient. Monitors the patient continuously during the recovery phase.
- Provides discharge instructions to the patient and their caregiver.
- Assists in patient education during all phases of their experience at CVSC.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Iowa RN License is required
- Must be flexible with hours
- Previous ASC and/or surgical care experience is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
