About this position:
Baker Publishing Group is currently accepting applications for the position of Publicity Intern for the fiction publicity team. This position's objective is to provide administrative support to the Bethany House and Revell publicity operations. Examples of responsibilities include researching new media outlets and updating current media information, creating publicity templates and social media graphics, recording media hits, writing press materials as needed, uploading press materials to SharePoint, reviewing Net Galley requests, and overall general support of the publicity team.
To accommodate school schedules, we can offer flexible hours for the remainder of the 2024 academic year. But we prefer that a majority of the ten hours per week take place on a Tuesday or Wednesday. The position is scheduled to conclude at the end of the Fall semester (December 2024).
Qualifications:
This position presents an opportunity for those considering a career in publicity, particularly in a publishing context, to gain experience in a professional setting. We seek reliable candidates who can demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication and writing skills, professionalism, and computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Canva, and social media.
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a part-time, hourly paid position.
