Austin, United States Heal.me Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

The medical system is failing the 65% of adults in the US suffering from chronic disease.

People are becoming more health-conscious, and a new era of holistic healthcare, driven by educated consumers, is emerging.

There are already more than 1 million people in the US providing holistic care, like acupuncturists, chiropractors, massage therapists, nutritionists - and dozens more - and they offer tremendous value, most of which is untapped.

Many still see these therapies as 'alternative,' but we have conviction that with better tech and UX for both consumers and practitioners, holistic care will be recognized as a more effective model of healthcare, and we can revolutionize what we as a society deem 'primary medicine.'

Heal.me is a marketplace and SaaS booking platform for holistic practitioners, and our plan is to become the operating system for holistic healthcare. More than 4,000 practitioners are offering services on the platform today, and we've raised more than $3M from early investors in Calm, HeadSpace, Uber, and MindBody.

We're looking for a talented product designer to own the design for all our platforms: desktop web, mobile web, and mobile app (iOs and Android). You'll take on our exisiting design system and continue moving that forward.

You'll collaborate and work closely with our Head of Product, CEO, and CTO, and you'll also set best practices and culture for product design as we grow. You'll play an important role in deciding how we hire and recruit designers in the future. If you're intererested in learning more, please apply

About you:

  • You have at least 5 years of digital product design experiance
  • You have at least 5 years UI/UX experience
  • You have at least 3 years SaaS experience
  • You have a familiarity or a strong interest in holistic healcare and wellness.
  • You have a proven ability to work closely with engineering, product and senior leaders to creat a seamless user experience.
  • You are skilled in creating designs for a wide range of users, including those with disabilities.
  • You have strong visual storytelling abilities and can effectively communication design concepts an solutions.
  • You have a growth mindset
  • You have the desire and capacity to own all of our designs across all platforms, as well as being responsbile for ensuring consistent designs across platforms (including proactively building out reusable component libraries, etc.)
  • You take the time to understand our users and design with them in mind
  • You take a data driven approach and can design pages to drive conversion rates and our core KPIs

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a start up
  • Wellness and/or healthcare industry experience
  • Experience working in an Agile development encironment, using Lean UX principles
  • Experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team.
  • Experience designing marketplace platforms

Heal.me is not a woke company. We're a team of people dedicated to winning. Our top KPI is the # of bookings through our platform - and growing that number is our sole focus. While there are many other worthy causes, we see that it is our moral imperative to not be distracted from this one.

Heal.me is not a digital-namad/casual lifestyle company. We're a team of people inspired to make a big impact in the world, with the understanding that hard work and sacrifice are part of the journey.

This position is a 30-day contract to hire.
