Summary of Responsibility:We are seeking an experienced IT Security professional to join our team. In this role, you will work with the IT Operations team (IT Security, System Administration, and Help Desk) to defend systems against unauthorized access, scan and assess network vulnerabilities, and implement network security policies, application security, and access control. The IT Security team is also responsible for training fellow employees in security awareness and procedures and developing and updating business continuity and disaster recovery protocols.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience working in IT Security, effective communication skills, and a willingness to grow with the team.
What You Will Contribute:
- Plans, implements, and updates security measures and controls to protect the organization's computer systems, networks, and data, both on-prem and cloud services
- Analyzes successful and unsuccessful breaches of data security, resolves their root cause, and rectifies security weaknesses.
- Protects digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
- Research new technologies that will efficiently protect a network from data loss and service interruptions.
- Keeps up to date on the latest intelligence, including harmful methodologies used, to anticipate security breaches.
- Regularly monitors security access and logging and proactively addresses and documents any concerns.
- Tests and assists in creating and implementing network disaster recovery plans.
- Conducts internal and external security audits, performs risk assessments and testing of data processing systems.
- Regularly interacts with firewalls, data encryption, and other security measures.
- Recommends security enhancements; Purchases, recommends, and installs appropriate tools and countermeasures.
- Creating network policies and authorization rules and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
- Updates software with the latest security patches and ensure the proper defenses are present for each network resource.
- Trains staff in network and information security procedures.

Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Candidate should possess a CISA, CISM or equivalent security certification.
- Solid understanding and experience implementing DLP, IPS / IDS, and SIEM
- Basic Knowledge of standards such as CMMC, NIST 800, ITAR, GDPR, CCPA
- Experience coordinating Multi-Factor Authentication
- Experience securing cloud services such as Microsoft Azure including OneDrive, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint Online
- Strong fundamental knowledge of networking, routing, VLAN segmentation, etc.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory Group Policies specifically around applying the best security practices
- Basic understanding of cloud-based ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience with various cryptography and encryption across all devices.
- Ability to think creatively and react quickly to address system flaws.
- Validated leadership skills demonstrating excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience addressing senior-level leadership or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Willingness to document and follow proper change management practices is a must.
- Demonstrable ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and lead laterally and upwards.
