Summary:

As a Payroll Coordinator, your key responsibilities will be processing payroll, time and attendance data in a timely and accurate manner. You will also work with project teams to document and submit certified payroll, prevailing wage and other government mandates. You will also assist with the preparation, review and submittal reports for bid and execution of projects in accordance with division and company policies and procedures. Critical for success is the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, and reviews payroll transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing. Collaborates with local leadership for accurate transactions.
  • Ensures payroll procedures are compliant, efficient, and current in accordance with Federal, State laws and company policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance applicable laws and payroll tax obligations within their local State.
  • Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to the Area Manager.
  • Assist in processing certified and prevailing wage payroll reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience:

  • 2+ years proven experience in office and administrative management in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Payroll/HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll processing including preparation and balancing.
  • Experience with certified payroll reports, municipality reporting, and prevailing wages. (preferred)
  • Must possess strong integrity, superb personal and professional ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and methodical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask & excellent follow skills.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
