Headquartered in Rockaway, NJ, we have an exciting opportunity for a Product Development Engineering Technician to join our growing team, gammaCore. The successful candidate will:

  • Maintain/manage the company’s legacy engineering drawing files to ensure the files are complete and properly retained to facilitate their retrieval and use for production
  • Assist in fabrication of prototypes with direction from engineering
  • Assist in the development of tools, fixtures, and related materials with direction from engineering
  • Update drawings with direction from engineering
  • Support Hardware Engineering with precise, dimensional data and technical information from review of engineering drawings
  • Perform testing, verification and validation activities on new products based on established protocols

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems associated with new product development (NPD).
  • Inspect and modify existing product designs and prototypes.
  • Use CAD software (preferably Solidworks) to update drawings for design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Conduct experiments (DOE) and investigations under the guidance of Engineers.
  • Inspect inventory and reordering materials and technical components for NPD.
  • Analyze operations and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Perform FAI and incoming inspection for NPD on new components/assemblies.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by manager
Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a technical field or a minimum of five (5) years design / engineering related experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
  • Experience using computer aided design (CAD) software (e.g., SolidWorks, Pro-E)
  • Experience using electronic and manual inspection, measuring and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, digital dial calipers, micrometers)
  • Aptitude for math and written / language skills
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects at one time
  • Basic computer skills; working knowledge of MS Excel and Word helpful
