TITLE: Scrub Technician

LOCATION: Charleston, SC (Onsite)

SCHEDULE: Day Shift – 0630-1500 with 2 weekday calls and every 3th – 4th weekend call.

PAY: $47.00 - $58.00 Hour DOE

This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Overtime paid at 1.5X regular rate of pay)

SUMMARY: To provide safe care for patients following established standards and practices in accordance with professional and hospital standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Constant interaction with internal and external customers to include (but not limited to) patients, families, physicians, employees and visitors.
  • Assists in the coordination of patient care: Assists registered nurse in planning patient care.
  • Acts in the role of support during the surgical procedure but not as a surgical assistant during the surgical procedure.
  • Implements patient care: Creates and maintains asepsis.
  • Performs scrubbing duties.
  • Accounts for all equipment and supplies used in patient care.
  • Consistently meets the department's Customer Service Quality Standards.
  • Care of environment and equipment: Maintains cleanliness in unit.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • BLS from American Heart Association - Required
  • Clinical operating room experience - Highly preferred
  • 1 Years Current certification in surgical technology through the NBSTSA - Required
  • Graduate of high school or GED equivalency examination - Required
