About the Role

Are you passionate about Planning and Reporting? Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and personable Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to manage strategic and annual operating plans for our expanding digital communications business in the US. Based in their state-of-the-art South Orange County office, you will support the core of their planning and reporting functions.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of the Finance team, you will lead strategic financial planning and reporting efforts, ensuring precise analysis, compliance, and data-driven decision-making to drive organizational growth. Your diverse responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Oversight: Manage long-term planning forecasts, internal reporting, and performance management.
  • Budget Optimization: Oversee annual budgeting processes, handle monthly reporting and analysis, and assess investments.
  • Financial Materials: Prepare financial documents for management reviews, board reporting, and presentations.
  • Operational Metrics: Develop and track key metrics to improve financial performance.
  • Risk Management: Ensure performance targets are met and provide leadership insights.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide analytical insights to senior management.
  • Team Development: Enhance the Planning and Reporting team, implement best practices, and promote a culture of accountability and integrity.

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting. An MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in a complex, multinational, multi-site environment.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and within the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in managing financial planning tools and processes.
  • A deep understanding of US GAAP and fundamental knowledge of cost accounting practices.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, with the ability to challenge norms and existing processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and leading a high-performance team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • The ability to demonstrate effective leadership in ambiguous and frequently changing situations.

  • This position will start with a team of 2-3 direct reports.
  • This role combines team management with hands-on responsibilities.
  • The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite.
