How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:

Join the dynamic MMSI team as a OS working for performing duties aboard the Retriever ATMO Key West, FL. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Assists in the safe and efficient operation of vessel as directed by ship’s officers.


Performs a variety of tasks related to the operation and upkeep of the vessel.


Performs hull, deck and superstructure preservation and maintenance, general cleaning, assists in operation of various pieces of deck equipment, small boats and secures deck and project equipment.


Assists engineering department as needed.


Assists in standing designated watches.


Other related duties as assigned and recordable.


Any other duties as required by the supervising officer.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalency certification minimum. Must be able to qualify for ordinance handling certification. Current and applicable STCW certification is required. Merchant Mariners Document endorsed, as Able Bodied Seaman (OSV) is required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in deck positions while serving as Able Seaman.


Physical Demands:

Moderate. Please refer to the USCG Merchant Mariner Medical and Physical Examination

Requirements for Merchant Mariner Credentials (Form CG-719K)

Work Environment:

Pier side, associated facilities and aboard vessels and craft.
