Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to lead our
maintenance team in Baltimore. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day
operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the safe, efficient, and
compliant upkeep of our facilities. You will work closely with the Operations
department to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure that all
equipment and instrumentation function at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop maintenance staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Assign daily tasks, manage workflow, and ensure consistent communication with the Operations department.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all procedures are followed, including lockout/tagout protocols.

2. Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment, conducting regular inspections for safety and compliance.
  • Manage preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, ensuring all work complies with company standards.
  • Supervise both mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance functions, including contracted and warranty services.

3. Reporting & Compliance:

  • Maintain detailed records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including work orders, lubrication plans, and outage inspections.
  • Prepare and authorize work orders for equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring timely completion.
  • Conduct and document thorough investigations of any accidents or near misses in collaboration with Environmental Compliance and Health & Safety managers.

4. Training & Development:

  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for maintenance staff.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with required training and additional development initiatives.

5. Facility & Equipment Management:

  • Manage the Maintenance Shop, ensuring all equipment meets quality control standards.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all facility mobile equipment and ensure the plant remains clean and operationally efficient.
  • Oversee the scheduling and performance of outside contractors to maintain effective and safe plant operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a power plant or similar environment, with 1-3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations, maintenance, and control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and CMMS.
