What You'll Do

  • Design warheads and complex missile/ordnance systems and transition them from prototype to production.
  • Coordinate lethality and performance analysis using hand-calculations and multi physics simulation tools.
  • Manage lab and field testing of munitions products from end-to-end, including project planning, design of experiments, and safety.
  • Develop test plans, compile data from ground and flight tests, and analyze results.
  • Produce program reports and communicate status to sponsors and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • BS or higher degree in mechanical, aerospace, or another engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of work experience as an individual contributing engineer, focused on design, analysis, building and testing of warheads and ordnance systems
  • Experience in both experimental work and computational tools
  • Innovative and independent thinking
  • Test experience including data acquisition, data analysis, and project coordination
  • Ability to travel as required, up to 25%
  • Experience preparing formal documentation (i.e. specifications, test procedures, technical reports, etc)
  • Passion for defending the United States and her allies
  • Be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top-Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Secret or Top-Secret security clearance
  • Prior experience in warhead design and handling munitions products
  • Experience designing and scaling production of mechanical components at volume
