Senior Network Admin

Office Status: Hybrid

Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, infrastructure, backups, security, patching, applications, and connectivity for IT environments.
  • Troubleshoot network, server, application, and endpoint issues in both IT environments.
  • Monitor security dashboards, respond to security alerts, and communicate status of our security posture to supervisor.
  • Perform security related risk assessments of IT and OT environments and implement appropriate safeguards, including making recommendations on improving security policies and controls.
  • Review penetration testing reports, prepare and execute action plan to address deficiencies.
  • Configure networking equipment like routers, switches, and firewalls as needed.
  • Assist with managing the company’s Microsoft cloud environment.
  • Manage IT/OT convergence and integration projects.
  • Track assets, licenses, warranties of IT hardware and software.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and other IT groups as needed.
  • Develop and document IT policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain IT/OT network layout and procedural documentation.
  • Cross-training with department teammates.
  • Problems faced are difficult, often complex, and may require travel to remote business sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2-year college degree required; 4-year college degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of combined hands-on IT and security experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with common IT protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMware, SCADA/ICS systems.
  • Working knowledge of IT network security standards and best practices.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to research and resolve unfamiliar network and server related issues.
