Microbest, a leading manufacturing firm, is in search of a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records with precision. This role includes accounts receivable and payable, assisting with general ledger activities, and contributing to month-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bookkeeping, superb communication skills, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:

· Process and maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable and payable transactions.

· Monitor account balances, follow up on overdue payments, and handle customer inquiries promptly.

· Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile any discrepancies in financial records.

· Initiate collection efforts for delinquent accounts and maintain professional customer interactions.

· Assist with general office operations, including managing office supplies and equipment.

· Load data into the new ERP system (Epicor) and assist in reconciling insurance bills with payroll records.

· Support HR with administrative tasks, payroll support, and record maintenance as needed.

· Conduct daily cash account reconciliations and monitor weekly cash balances.

· Manage weekly check runs, and handle tax-related duties including issuing 1099 forms.

· Post monthly journal entries and assist with general ledger accounting, audit preparation, and reconciliations.

Requirements:

· 2+ years of related experience.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with making collection calls.

· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

· Comfortable with making collection calls.

· Experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor – Preferred but not necessary.

· High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
