Job Overview:

Primoris Services Corporation (“Company”) has an urgent need for a Utility Damages Resolution Specialist to join our Claims Management Group within Primoris’s Corporate Legal department. The ideal candidates will be highly energetic, thrive on the unknown of the day-to-day, take strong initiative, have strong organizational skills, be exceptional communicators, have an analytical and bold personality, and thrive in a fast-paced business environment. Background in utility damages, and/or general liability insurance will do exceptionally well in this role.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and resolve third party utility damage and property damage claims brought against the Company.
  • Learn, understand, and be able to utilize state dig laws and statutes, 811 excavator requirements, NESC standards, CGA guidelines, etc. to defend and resolve demands from third parties (e.g., collection agencies)
  • Develop a professional working relationship with Operations groups across multiple states to gather needed documentation and information to resolve utility/property damage issues brought against the Company.
  • Effectively manage volume and workload of issues needing resolution which may include a high number of email communications and internal/external requests for information.
  • Conduct inbound/outbound daily calls to resolve utility damage issues with clients & third parties.
  • Negotiate and resolve issues with third parties via phone, email, and letters.
  • Follow handling procedures and strategies as detailed by the Director of Risk Management.
  • Use photographs, narratives, job costs, site sketches, locate tickets, and other components provided to visualize and understand the damage scene to defend liability accurately.
  • Collaborate with internal parties such as Operations and Accounts Payable, to drive incidents towards resolution.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of construction, cable industry, and/or utility locate industry is required.
  • Knowledge of B2B construction, claims, recovery or insurance claims negotiation and settlement process preferred.
  • 3-5 years of claims, recovery, and/or insurance industry experience is ideal.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a heavy focus on phone and email.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
