The Demand Planner is a salaried position reporting to the VP of Operations. This role will use historical and current data to develop, continuously update, and improve demand forecasting of our products. The Demand Planner will interact with the Sales team and manufacturing personnel to ensure the most accurate short-term and long-term planning.


  • Uses the analytical, marketing, and sales data of a company to estimate future product demands.
  • Collaborates with various departments and stakeholders in developing forecasts for new items, promotions, and end of life items
  • Prepares analysis and present impact of strategic forecast.
  • Prepares and supports monthly collaboration meetings for key accounts to align demand and supply
  • Coordinate and lead demand consensus process to identify changes in the demand plan, calling out significant changes, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with supply planning to ensure successful inventory management throughout item lifecycle.
  • Develops annual, monthly and daily demand plans and forecasts
  • Oversees the demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.
  • Creates and carries out product demand plans to meet organizational objectives.
  • Creates demand forecasts based on demand patterns and business trends.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Supports business unit and corporate Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes
  • Supports other functions with demand planning analytical support (Ops, Finance, Purchasing, Logistics)
  • Serve as liaison between Sales leadership teams and downstream functions such as Purchasing and Manufacturing team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, ERP.
  • Detail oriented.
