Hours: Part Time Position available (up to 30 hours per week).  Hybrid Position-Office Days/Home Days.

This position is challenging and rewarding; offering a chance to learn new skills and advance within our company.
The accounting clerk helps the Staff Accountant by checking figures, creating spreadsheets, and documenting payments and receipts. The department uses Sage Intacct, Tipalti, Bill.com, and Expensify. 
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
  • Provides client payment information to our outside accounting firm.
  • Processes daily credit cards.
  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Obtains revenue by verifying invoice transaction information, computing charges, refunds, advance payments, and working with our accounting team to issue invoices.
  • Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Review client correspondence regarding invoices and payments, makes necessary adjustments and notifications.
  • Communicates with employees when expenses are not compliant with company policies.
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal and generally accepted accounting controls (GAAP).
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Associates degree in related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
