Overview of the Position:

The HRIS Analyst will be a vital part of the IT team which partners with HR leadership, Information Technology (IT) team and other internal customers to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities. The HRIS Analyst builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and can work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for the assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports human resources management system (HRMS) upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field

• Proven experience with three – four years as a HRIS Analyst or similar role.

• In-dept knowledge of ADP, Paycom, QuickBooks, Blackbaud, and/or other payroll / HRMS.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Certification in Human Resources field (e.g. Certified Human Resource Management Professional (CHRMP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM – CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM – SCP)

• Project Management Professional (PMP®) credentials

• Experience with integrating systems (ADP, Accounting systems, data extracts, custom reporting and etc.

Skills and Abilities:

• Understands and uses qualitative/ quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions to issues that arise.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Duties / Responsibilities:

System Administration:

• Manage and administer HRIS platforms, including ADP and other relevant systems.

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data within HRIS – making necessary updates and corrections.

Integration and Data Management:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HRIS platforms with other business systems.

• Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Reporting and Analytics:

• Generate and analyze HR reports to provide insights into workforce trends, employee performance and other key metrics.

• Design and create custom reports to meet specific departmental and organizational needs.

User Support and Training:

• Provide support to end-users, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to HRIS systems.

• Conduct training sessions for HR and other users to enhance system proficiency.

Compliance and Security:

• Ensure HRIS compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.

• Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive employee information.

System Enhancements:

• Identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancement.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement upgrades and new features.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 15 pounds. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Vision and hearing corrected to within normal limits is required. Must have manual dexterity to key in data; utilize computer, grab, grip, hold, tear, cut, sort, and reach.
