Cost Analyst

We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Cost Analyst with a strong attention to detail.

Primary Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Cost Analyst will be to assist in the analysis and reporting of production costs for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team to achieve the company goals.

Essential Duties:

• Assist in the analysis and reporting of production costs.
• Perform cost accounting functions including cost allocation and inventory valuation.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operations and reduce cost.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures.
• Provide support for special projects as needed.
• Prepare reports, charts, graphs or other media to interpret and analyze financial trends with regards to expenses or other related financial information.
• Provide monthly and ad hoc reporting as requested by the business.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to the plant management team to drive business decisions.
• Assist in preparation of accurate forecasts for the plant's financial performance.
• Work closely with the plant management team to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in cost accounting or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Education/Certification:

Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Bachelors preferred).
