We are hiring an Entry Level Crane Technician, and we’re interested in those who know their way around heavy machinery and aren’t afraid of a hard day’s work. The Entry Level Service Technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. An Entry Level Service Technician will also uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics as required to instill customer confidence and continued success in service. Duties & Responsibilities
- Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
- Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
- Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
- Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
- Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
- Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
- Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
- Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
- Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), tools, etc.
Education & Qualifications
· 1-2 years’ experience troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment, is preferred.
· Associate’s degree with concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, preferred.
· Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
· Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations. This is a physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift 50-100lbs.
· Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
· Ability to work independently.
· Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner.
· Communication skills both internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer the status of the job.
· Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
· Required to use own hand tools and meter.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
