SUMMARY The FOH Lead is experienced in hospitality, highly motivated and passionate about maintaining an environment that provides guests with memorable food and beverage experience. This position will Lead the shift for the café team and be responsible for implementing service protocols in the restaurant to maintain high food quality standards, high guest service standards, and high cleanliness standards. The FOH lead will support the Restaurant Manager in creating and maintaining a positive, and successful café team ethos that ensures the most rewarding guest experience possible.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for leading shifts that can consistently execute great food and service.
- Responsible for the restaurant adhering to all company guidelines to maintain a health promoting operation, high food quality and high guest satisfaction.
- Trains and supervises the hourly team members to ensure the team provides the best product, service, and education to our guests.
- Has an eye to recognize and proactively assist in addressing productivity, guest experience, and food and safety compliance opportunities.
- Adheres to inventory procedures and policies.
- Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
- Open or close the cafe.
- Inspects dining areas, food receiving, preparation and production areas, and storage space to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
The FOH Lead must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to demonstrate they can perform the essential functions of the job, along with the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent customer resolution skills with an ability to think creatively and constructively.
- Must be able to maintain a strong team atmosphere within the restaurant.
- Strong ability to delegate and guide the shift, while training on processes as necessary.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to change, is a self-starter, is a critical thinker, and has outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (will be required to succeed).
- Desires to contribute positively to the L.L culture.
- Able to balance candor with honor and respect, as well as hunger with humility.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Strong background in Restaurants and Hospitality Management.
- Strong knowledge of variety of healthy lifestyle and culinary offerings.
- Previous knowledge of Toast preferred.
- Experience with catering programs and special events a huge plus.
- Experience with OSHA and all local Department of Health Regulations.
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role.
