Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and handling of products within our facility. Your tasks will include loading and unloading deliveries, managing inventory, and ensuring products are properly stored and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and Unloading:
    • Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring that products are handled with care to avoid damage.
    • Move materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Inventory Control:
    • Assist with receiving shipments, verifying quantities and conditions of products.
    • Perform regular inventory counts and update records to maintain accurate stock levels.
    • Organize and replenish inventory on shelves as needed.
  • Order Processing:
    • Pick and pack items for customer orders, ensuring accuracy and careful handling.
    • Prepare products for shipment, including labeling and documentation.
  • Warehouse Organization:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.
    • Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Inspect products for quality and freshness during handling and storage.
    • Ensure that all packaging meets Sheba Foods’ standards for product integrity and presentation.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work effectively with other team members to support overall warehouse operations.
    • Communicate any issues or needs to supervisors and team members promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a material handling or warehouse role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills for managing inventory and orders.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test as part of the hiring process.
