Description:
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the highest quality of care
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system to document patient care
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including COVID vaccination requirements (medical/religious exemptions provided upon request)
- May be required to float to campuses in Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, or Muscatine (rarely)
- Adhere to overtime and holiday billing policies:
- If scheduled 36-40 hrs/week, OT billed after 40 hrs
- If scheduled 48 hrs/week, OT billed after 48 hrs
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience in an ED setting
- Licensure: Active IL RN license at time of submission. If IA RN license is not active, must show proof of application for IA RN single state license or Compact RN license before starting.
- Certifications: All relevant certifications must be active; MAB can be obtained during onboarding
- Travelers: Must be COVID vaccinated. Local travelers residing within 60 miles of Trinity Rock Island will not be considered.
- Documentation:
- Illinois State Agency license (NOT the Nursys report) must be uploaded with each profile
- Work history/resume
- Home/taxable address listed in the profile (e.g., resume, notes section of the submittal)
- Skills checklist (completed within 1 year of submission date)
- License verification
- Copy of BLS (AHA) or ARC certification
- References are highly preferred; if not provided, will be required to complete during onboarding if candidate accepts an offer
Compensation:
- OT/Holiday Multiplier: 1.25x
- NBO: 8 hours
