Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular and preventative maintenance on electromechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with electromechanical machinery and systems.
  • Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose problems.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Proficiency with industrial electronics, AC/DC theory, power transmission, test instruments, VFDs, PLCs, ladder logic, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction.
  • Ability to read and use schematic diagrams and equipment manuals for troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices, including lockout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation.
  • Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in the steel industry.
  • Welding and light fabrication skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet).
  • Understanding of PID control loops and combustion controls.
  • Basic mechanical device knowledge.
  • Safety awareness training.
Essential Must-Haves:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience with industrial electronics, AC/DC theory, power transmission, test instruments, VFDs, PLCs, ladder logic, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, motor controls, and electrical construction.
Nice to Have:
  • Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship, Journeyman Certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in the steel industry.
  • Welding and light fabrication experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet).
