About the role:

As an Instructional Facilitator at Millington Municipal Schools, you will assure implementation of the curriculum, revise curriculum to meet standards, align curriculum to state testing, and develop appropriate assessment instruments.

Responsibilities:

  • Revise curriculum to meet standards
  • Align curriculum to state testing and develop appropriate assessment instruments
  • Provides support to all teachers on state law, district policy, curriculum, resources, and materials.
  • Provides orientation to teachers on a one-to-one basis.
  • Helps design and distributes an inventory checklist of required or recommended
  • Evaluates the appropriateness of the physical classroom environment and makes recommendations for modifications.
  • Monitors all classrooms on a regular basis to ensure compliance with state initiatives.
  • Conducts or arranges formal coaching, support, and mentoring of teachers when requested by administrators.
  • Shares relevant research findings with teachers through study groups, discussions or professional development.
  • Assists in the design and completion of school and district quarterly curriculum performance reports.
  • Share expertise and/or assists teachers and staff with projects and/or needs identified by the data.
  • Assists teachers in determining ways to integrate supplementary programs including technology into the curriculum.
  • Recommends special accommodations/modifications or special assistance for students and teachers that will promote students' success.
  • Assists the district in developing standards and assessing the effectiveness of programs and practices in meeting district, state, and national standards.
  • Implement the district and State approved curriculum.
  • Demonstrates appropriate instructional strategies in the classroom setting and professional learning communities.
  • May be assigned to work with individual students or groups of students to support classroom instruction.
  • Provides organized documentation for state and federal initiatives and mandates.
  • All other instructional duties as assigned by principals and district instructional support teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor's degree and endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate. Must be highly qualified. Governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Tennessee Code Annotated. Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position.

  • Ability to create, understand, and implement budgets and budgeting practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
