Project Manager with Apex International in Eden Prairie, MN

Our team is seeking a Project Manager to report to the VP of business development. This role will be based out of our Eden Prairie, MN HQ and will be a member of our internal project management team that will contribute to the success of our customers by effectively integrating new customers, new products, and other customer-related projects into the Apex Supply Chain.
Note that this role is an onsite position with limited work-from-home opportunities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful integration of new customers and projects.
- Provide insights about customer's business to achieve an intimate knowledge throughout Apex
- Ensure communication of all project expectations or changes to all required parties.
- Ensure the project remains on track based on timelines; report and escalate as needed.
- Maintain all onboarding tools and ensure use of processes for onboarding new projects.
- Conduct effective meetings that move the project forward and ensure adherence to milestones.
- Ensure that project parameters, set-ups and pricing are input into the Apex system for new items in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure seamless hand-off to Supply Chain during transition between project on-boarding and ongoing order entry/fulfillment.
- Effectively add value and manage customer expectations throughout all project processes.
- Onboard new customers in alignment with the Apex value proposition & drive overall satisfaction.
- Provide the customer with proactive information concerning any and all pertinent Apex constraints and recommended solutions related to all projects.
- Determine ways of improving the customer experience by providing and facilitating feedback between team members and with customer.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by intentionally providing consistent follow-through and determining ways to improve tools and processes.
- Manage changes required by customers through Apex change control process.
- Effectively manage the ongoing accuracy of pricing on new items and existing items.
- Verify that costs are achievable by completing and reviewing post-production evaluations on all new items; communicate to Account Executive on variances to revise pricing or production process with Engineering.
- Ensure customer is billed for direct billable costs related to new projects.
- Ensure correct pricing is input in the Apex system for any price changes.
- Manage disposition of excess inventory identified by supply chain with customer by communicating liability and processing necessary documents.

Qualification and Skill Requirements
Prior Experience:
- This position requires at least five years of previous experience in project management. Some customer service experience would be very helpful.
- Consumer packaged goods and/or manufacturing industry experience is a plus, as well as familiarity with project management software solutions (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.).
Knowledge Requirements:
- This position requires experience managing cross-functional teams. Great communication and organizational skills, including conflict management, are required for success at this position.
- This person must have the ability to positively affect change in a way that moves the business forward.
- Project management skills are critical, as is the skill to manage multiple manufacturing projects.
- Great communication skills, strong follow-through, ability to prioritize and detail orientation are essential.
- Requires knowledge normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Licenses and Certifications: Project management certification (PMP) is a strong plus.
