OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Cutting of plastic products using powered equipment, partially or completely, working at sample building bench or on shop floor for an assembly team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reports on time and ready to work at beginning of shift and after each break.
- Set-up, operate and adjust machines including: changing or replacing saw blades, adjusting guides and stops to control width and length dimensions.
- Cuts parts to quality criteria to meet customer needs.
- Removes small quantities of plastic with electric buffers and wire wheels, files, knives and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
- Ability to speak and understand English for safety reasons.
- Examine, measure and weigh materials for conformance.
- Measure and record cutting details.
- Remove defective or substandard material.
- Review work order, blue prints, interpret drawings and specifications or samples.
QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to read and write in English and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Ability to correctly read a tape measure and measure to 1/16”.
First Shift - 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Second Shift - 3:30PM - 12AM ($1 Shift Differential + Base Pay)
