The J is hiring energetic Soccer Coaches for the Spring soccer season. Our Coaches oversee all aspects of the youth soccer program, which can include serving as a customer service point-of-contact, coach, or referee. The J’s soccer program emphasizes fun, safety and convenience and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player/referee is preferred, but not mandatory.


Schedule

We are hiring reliable part-time staff for 5-10 hours per week to lead soccer practices for 5-7 year old's on Wednesday nights and to coach games on Sunday afternoons. Other opportunities may also present themselves.


Essential Functions

  • Coach soccer classes, practices, and games for ages 5-7
  • Transport balls and equipment between multiple soccer sites
  • Supervise children ages 5 to 7 years old
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Experience as a coach/referee/player is preferred
  • Knowledge of soccer and its rules
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
  • Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
