We are seeking a Controller with exceptional communication, technology, analytical, and management skills. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of GAAP, expertise in financial reporting and internal controls, and proven ability to manage staff. Experience in a high-growth, CPG or direct-to-consumer startup is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operations using NetSuite
- Gather, consolidate, and report on financial data and financial statements
- Implement internal controls and governance for financial processes, including reporting
- Establish and maintain internal controls over financial processes and reporting
- Work with internal and external audit resources
- Hire and oversee accounting staff
- Focus on continuous improvement and change management
- Develop Accounting KPIs
- Train and mentor more junior staff
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of accounting/finance experience in a corporate setting and/or public accounting firm
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA, CMA, or CGMA preferred
- Advanced computer software skills, including NetSuite
- Exceptional people skills, fostering an open and confidential environment
- Resourceful problem-solver
- Strong business partner and presentation skills
- Analytical with proven ability to craft data-driven strategies
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing demands
Benefits$155-180k + benefits and bonus.
