Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Responds to incoming phones calls for all sites promptly and in an exceptional quality manner
  • Appropriately schedules patient appointments based on physician guidelines- includes faxed and telephone referrals via Par80, and New Submission requests
  • Maintains strong knowledge of all site protocols and physician schedules/changes to ensure appropriate information is provided to patients
  • Clearly and concisely documents every patient request and pertinent information via ModMed so that practice can successfully respond to patient needs
  • Through appropriate call control, ensures that calls are handled efficiently to attain daily call production goals.
  • Performs real-time eligibility during appointment calls
  • Ensures all faxes are cleared off the machine and distributed/processed throughout the day
  • Sorts incoming reports and directs to appropriate person
  • Facilitates any physician or manager requests throughout the day
  • Maintains and respects the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy & procedure, and HIPAA & compliance guidelines

Shared Duties/Other

  • Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions
  • Attends all regular staff meetings and continuing education sessions as required
  • Speaks with a pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Presents professional image in manner, appearance, motivation and work habits
  • Maintains regular attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Academic/Technical Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic computer knowledge mandatory- comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications

Industry Experience

  • Prefer two years of current work experience as a Call
  • Center rep in a medical practice
  • Two years’ experience in verifying insurances
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software

Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others
  • A committed and result-driven attitude to work as a high ethical and professional standard.
  • Unquestionable commitment to confidentiality, quality customer service and professionalism.
