Job DescriptionJob Description

The ideal candidate will have core competences in network engineering (Cisco/Juniper). Ideally, they will also have experience with configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, MPLS (L2/L3 VPNs), EVPN, VPLS, and other core WAN protocols. Individuals will need to be willing to travel up to 60% CONUS and OCONUS.

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform network equipment installation, cutover, testing, and site acceptance

· Work with customer personnel to isolate and resolve complex network problems

· Ensure complete cutover of network functionality

· Hands-on, willing to do what it takes to get the job completed, correctly

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience doing installations and cutovers
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60% (within United States and to other countries)
  • Security+ certification required
  • Experience in VLAN, ACL, IP/DHCP, and Cisco Software and Routing
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • MUST BE fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Highly desired:

  • CCNA/JNCIA certification (desired current or previously held)
  • Certification in Cisco/Juniper Software and Routing, ACL, VLAN, IP/DHCP

Skills and abilities:

  • Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with a high energy level and willingness to aggressively take on responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to approach job responsibilities with a focus on process improvement
  • Excellent computer knowledge and experience
  • Able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management
  • Sound technical experience in assessing network support requirements as well as conducting required administrative tasks required for the projects
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Unconditional integrity and commitment to achieving goals
