Jassby is a fintech company that provides debit and credit card solutions to consumers and business clients. We are currently looking for an entry-level staff accountant to work with the Accounting Manager and help shape the future of our company. The successful candidate will understand the basics of accounting and have a four-year degree in accounting. We need someone willing to jump into to any task from journal entries to month end reports.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the month end closing process and prepare financial reports for CFO review.
  • Maintain bank & balance sheet reconciliations (prepaids, other receivables, accrued payroll etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of a meaningful month and quarter end report package
  • Accounts Payable processing
  • Accounts Receivable invoice creation
  • Record daily bank activity and other journal entries
  • Maintain Fixed Asset schedules and post monthly depreciation entries.
  • Assist in the facilitation of year-end audit.
  • Contribute to Accounting related special projects.


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel with the aptitude to continually advance in Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills required
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to research & resolve issues
  • Ability to reliably produce quality work
  • Ability to build trust and maintain strict confidentiality


Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an associate degree with two years of experience is required.
  • Experience with accounting software systems is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with MS Windows based computers is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US
  • 0-2 Years experience in accounting
