This role involves working on a variety of mechanical, electrical, and control systems across diverse industries, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Commissioning:

    • Install, calibrate, and commission industrial equipment such as valves, pumps, actuators, heat exchangers, and control systems.
    • Ensure proper setup and alignment of equipment according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
  • Maintenance and Repair:

    • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting equipment failures.
    • Diagnose issues with industrial systems and execute repairs, either on-site or in our facility, to minimize downtime.
    • Replace or upgrade worn-out or faulty components, such as valves, pumps, actuators, and instrumentation.
  • System Upgrades and Retrofits:

    • Assist with system upgrades, including retrofitting new equipment into existing systems and ensuring compatibility and functionality.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement modifications to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Customer Support:

    • Provide technical support to customers, including answering questions and resolving issues related to equipment operation and maintenance.
    • Conduct training sessions for customer personnel on the operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, and customer interactions.
    • Document all maintenance and repair activities in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing service tasks, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry safety standards and best practices, applying them to all aspects of the job.

Requirements


  • Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology) is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial service, maintenance, or a related field, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment, including valves, pumps, actuators, and control systems.
    • Strong understanding of industrial piping systems, steam traps, and heat exchangers.
    • Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control systems is a plus.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, often exceeding 50 pounds.
    • Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor settings.
    • Ability to stand, walk, and work on equipment for extended periods.
  • Travel Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, for service assignments.
    • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Interpersonal Skills:

    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
    • Self-motivated, with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Certifications:

    • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., OSHA safety training, HVAC certification, or specific equipment training) are advantageous.
    • Forklift and man-lift certifications are preferred.
