JR Swigart is a Commercial Roofing Company serving Oregon, Washington and Idaho that has a great estimating team in place. We are looking for a Senior Estimator to help lead the team in getting commercial projects. This would be a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a company with lots of growth potential and wants to be challenged everyday.

Do you have 2 or more years working in commercial project estimating and are you looking for an opportunity to grow and advance your career?

Objective:

To accurately put together estimates for bid opportunities and make sure they are submitted


Duties:

  1. Going over specifications to make sure we are bidding on correct project details and
  2. Going over specifications to make sure to meet all the project requirements
  3. Doing quantity takeoffs of all the jobs
  4. Getting pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for all the items
  5. Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications to make sure we have full understanding of the scope
  6. Writing detailed estimate that spelled out the scope clearly and make it simple read it what we are including and excluding
  7. Building an accurate billing materials in our estimating system
  8. Assisting Project Manager with hand off to job execution team
  9. Preparing submittals
  10. Preparing shop drawings for estimate
  11. Helping with putting pricing together on change orders throughout the course of the project
  12. Adding all details and notes from estimates to the project files, once a project is awarded the execution team can take over.


Pay: $80K - 140K Annually
